Obviously News Vine leans just a bit more towards Liberal / Democrats.  The collective mindset, either subconsciously, or worse yet Consciously, get together to collapse comments that challenge their point of view.

     More often than not, the News Vine community gangs up on the early views and collapses them by "reporting" them as, "NO Value", "Inflammatory", or worse yet "Advertising".  How many "reported" votes are required to collapse a comment?

     I have "reported" postings prior to the election consisting only of "Obama 2012" as "advertising", but do we report an all out lie or falsehood as "No Value" or "Inflammatory"?  Plus which one shuts down the comment the fastest, requiring the fewest votes?

     News Vine needs to begin reporting the entire score card of comments.  Not just the "likes", but the dislikes, No values, Inflammations, & even the advertising votes a comment gets.  I thoroughly believe the truth may show a very different conversation.  Authors who only "collapse" a comment, along with the votes of other fellow Viners, to keep an Obvious deranged conservative comment up for inspection and comment, instead of "deleting: it are doing so to instigate more anti conservative commentary.

     To achieve true knowledge, we need to be open to alternative view points.  The collapsing of comments because of the opposing content is a form of censorship.  Yes there are obvious racist, slanderous, vile, obscene comments that could be collapsed or deleted.  But hiding them just to keep others from reading them and maybe converting their perception is wrong.

     When a comment has 8, 28 plus "likes" yet it is collapsed by the community, it indicates the "community" is afraid of it.

     Having recently attempted to convey my thoughts, and being shot down, I am either on a different mental plain, or they refuse to step back and consider anything outside of their own point of view.  The entire point of waisting time on here and posting our own point of view is an to attempt to persuade others to see things from our angle.  Shutting down thought is no way to keep an intelligent conversation going.

     Collapsing comments to keep them visible, yet controversial, or deleting an opposing point of view to keep others from seeing

a logic stream that contradicts their point is psychological manipulation at best, propaganda at worst.

     Then there is the name calling and labeling that brings on a flock of Bulling attacks.  Once a News Vine commentator is listed as a "truth-er", "birth-er", "conservative", "republican", "racist", or the use of the vile "tea bagger", the attacks begin.  Even if the commentator is stating an absolute fact, nothing they say is comprehended or considered.
